Saas-Fee is a high-altitude, car-free glacier resort in the Saas Valley, ringed by thirteen-plus 4,000 m peaks including the Allalinhorn and Dom. Skiing runs from the 1,800 m village up to roughly 3,600 m via two reversible cable cars, a tricable gondola, and the Metro Alpin underground funicular to Mittelallalin.
The resort is compact (~100 km of piste, ~22 lifts) but high and glaciated, giving it strong early- and late-season snow reliability relative to lower Alpine resorts. No private cars have been allowed in the village since 1951.
True cable cars (aerial tramways)
Gondolas and chairlifts are listed above under Notable lifts. These are specifically two-station reversible aerial tramways — a distinct lift type.

What the sources say
Every note below is drawn from the resort's own or an independent official publication.
The 150 km figure sometimes quoted refers to the whole Saas Valley region (including Saas-Almagell, Saas-Grund, Saas-Balen), separate lift networks from Saas-Fee proper — not used here.
Difficulty km breakdown left null: independent sources disagree substantially on the split, not just rounding noise.
No named rental shop could be confidently verified within two independent sources — left empty rather than guessed.
