Courmayeur's Plan Chécrouit/Val Veny ski area sits below Mont Blanc, with 41.5 km of groomed piste and 18 lifts — a much smaller figure than the "100+ km of slopes and off-piste" the official site advertises, which bundles in ungroomed/off-piste terrain rather than groomed piste alone.

Access is via two true reversible cable cars from Courmayeur town and from Entrèves/Val Veny. A lift overhaul (two new gondolas replacing older lines) is under construction for the 2026/27 season.

What the sources say

Every note below is drawn from the resort's own or an independent official publication.

41.5 km piste total is the stricter groomed-piste figure (skiresort.com); the official site's "100+ km" bundles in off-piste/freeride terrain.
Two major lifts (a gondola and a chairlift replacement) are under construction for winter 2026/27 — figures reflect the system as currently described, worth re-checking near publication.
