Malbun is Liechtenstein's only ski resort, a small family-oriented area in the eastern Alps reachable by road only — no rail line enters the country. Skiing runs from about 1,600 m to 2,000 m on roughly 23 km of piste served by three chairlifts, two T-bars and a beginner rope tow — six lifts in total, with no gondola or true cable car anywhere in the area.
It holds Switzerland Tourism's 'Families Welcome' seal and centers on a dedicated children's learning zone, but by Alpine standards it is genuinely tiny, comparable to a single mid-sized sector of a larger resort rather than a full ski region.

What the sources say
Every note below is drawn from the resort's own or an independent official publication.
No true reversible cable car exists at Malbun — confirmed via both the operator's own lift list and an independent ski-industry database; the area is served entirely by chairlifts, T-bars and a beginner tow.
Piste difficulty breakdown is not stated: two secondary sources give mutually inconsistent green/blue/red/black splits that don't reconcile to the confirmed 23 km total, so left null.
Equipment rental in Malbun itself is thin — Malbun Sport is the only named on-site shop and its rental scope (vs. retail) is uncertain; no confirmed URL found.
