Grandvalira is Andorra's and the Pyrenees' largest ski area, formed in 2003 by merging the Pas de la Casa–Grau Roig and Soldeu–El Tarter resorts, with Encamp and Canillo sectors added later. It covers 215 km of piste across seven sectors from 1,710 m to 2,640 m via 75 lifts.

It has real World Cup pedigree, having hosted the Alpine Ski World Cup Finals in 2023 and annual FIS races at Soldeu since 2012. No true reversible aerial tramway exists within Grandvalira — its lift mix is gondolas/funitels, chairlifts and drag lifts.
