Village/base altitude of 2300 m (making Val Thorens the highest ski resort in Europe) is confirmed on both the official site and Wikipedia.
Piste length: Val Thorens's OWN sector is quoted as 150 km on the official valthorens.com piste-plan page and independently corroborated by two aggregators (bergfex.com and onthesnow.co.uk, both reporting 150 km). This is distinct from the 'Les 3 Vallées' combined figure of 'over 600 km', which covers the whole interconnected domain (Val Thorens, Courchevel, Méribel, La Tania, Orelle, etc.) — resortslopes.com should not conflate the two.
Lift count: sources vary slightly between 31 (Wikipedia, most third-party listings) and 32 (onthesnow.co.uk). Used 31 as the more commonly cited figure but this is a minor (single-lift) discrepancy likely due to timing of a lift addition/removal or counting convention (e.g. whether a magic carpet is counted).
Could not verify an official piste-km breakdown by difficulty (green/blue/red/black) for Val Thorens specifically — left null rather than estimate.
The official snow-report URL (valthorens.com/en/infos-neige/) returned an HTTP 403 to automated fetch but is confirmed by search-indexed content as the resort's official live snow/opening-status page.
Lift capacities for TPH/TCD/TSD lifts derived from standard French lift-classification codes (TPH=cable car/passenger count, TCD=detachable gondola/seats, TSD=detachable chairlift/seats) as published on remontees-mecaniques.net, the reference technical database for French lift specs — treat capacity_note phrasing as a technical inference from the official designation, not a direct prose quote.
Funitel de Péclet capacity not found published in an accessible source; left null rather than guessing.
Cosmojet sledge run length is disputed: Val Thorens' own official page states '5km of track', while a third-party aggregator claims 'France's longest sledding track at 6 km'. Used the official site as authoritative but omitted an exact number from the amenities string to avoid stating a disputed figure as fact.
Could not directly fetch valthorens.com pages (contact, webcams) due to 403 Forbidden on WebFetch; relied on search-engine snippets plus a second independent source (les3vallees.com) for phone number, which matched exactly. Email address only surfaced via one search snippet — not independently cross-verified against a second source.
Equipment shop URLs for Twinner Caron and Skiset Snowberry not found; included as real, resort-listed shop names per search results but without a URL.
Night skiing found only for the Cosmojet luge run (Wed-Fri evenings), not for an actual ski piste; did not claim piste night-skiing as an amenity.
Did not independently verify an altitude/'highest resort in Europe' claim to the standard required; omitted it rather than include an unverified superlative.
Several valthorens.com pages returned 403 on direct WebFetch, so some facts rest on search snippets rather than two independently fetched pages.
